REAL sludge aluminum iron recovery technology

Recupero, a Swedish company, has signed a contract through its subsidiary REAL China to build, hold, and operate a factory that utilizes REAL patented processes to recover and reuse chemical drugs for water treatment.

This contract was officially signed at a banquet during the visit of the Swedish Prime Minister to China on April 15, 2008.

The contracting party is APRIL Group - its pulp and paper mill located in Rizhao, Shandong, with a contract term of over 5 years and a value of approximately 40 million RMB. The processing plant is expected to be officially put into operation in the fourth quarter of this year.

"The REAL process is a process for recovering and reusing metal aluminum or iron from chemical sludge. Nowadays, a large amount of chemical sludge is produced in the tertiary treatment of pulp and paper industry wastewater," said Claes Andersson, Chairman of Recurro. By recycling and reusing chemicals, a large amount of sludge is removed, and chemicals can be reused for at least ten times in the tertiary treatment of the treatment plant. The remaining sludge from the REAL process mainly contains organic matter and can be burned in the factory incinerator.

"This is a very interesting project," said Martin Hagbyhn, CEO of Lockerbie Water in Sweden. We look forward to the broad prospects of this new technology, especially in the pulp and paper industry. This contract means that we will build and operate this type of processing plant.

The REAL process has been patented in many countries, including China.

Recupero is a newly established joint venture company invested by Ferrarco from Sweden, Jiangsu Yijing Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., Swedfund International from Sweden, Lockerbie Water from Sweden (parent company of Beijing Prack Environmental Protection), and Mercatus from Sweden.

Comprehensive utilization of aluminum iron recycling from flocculation sludge

Project Introduction Book

Project background and significance

In the existing water treatment process, a large amount of sludge is generated due to the use of water purification materials such as polyaluminum chloride. At present, there are usually two methods for treating sludge: one is to discharge it directly into a tank or other open space without dehydration and drying, and the other is to treat it with dehydration, drying, concentration and then landfill. These two methods, the former will have a significant negative impact on the environment; The processing cost of the latter is very high. This project achieves the recycling and comprehensive utilization of aluminum and iron in flocculated sludge through the separation and concentration of aluminum and iron from sludge.

Project Technical Fundamentals

The technology for this project was jointly developed by our company (Yijing Environmental Protection Co., Ltd.) and Ferrarco AB from Sweden, and a prototype project has been established in Shandong Rizhao Asia Pacific Senbo Pulp and Paper. At the same time, this technology has applied for a patent in China, with patent numbers CN200480032275.8 and CN03812055.0.

Technical Principles

By acidification, the aluminum and iron ions in the sludge are released, and then separated from the sludge through ultrafiltration and nanofiltration. Finally, the aluminum and iron ions are concentrated through precipitation.

Profit analysis

This project aims to reduce sludge discharge to 20% through comprehensive recycling and utilization of sludge; At the same time, the recovery rate of aluminum and iron ions in sludge is as high as 90%. Reduce the total cost of the water treatment chemical section (including sludge transportation, disposal costs, PAM costs, PAC costs, decolorizing agent costs, electricity costs, etc.) by about 30%.

Project Implementation Plan

This project adopts the B-O-O business model, which is Build Own Operate. Our company invests in the construction, and the property rights belong to our company. We also undertake to operate the treatment of physicochemical sludge.
